At Van Gool you will find wire rope sheaves and wire rope blocks for all your hoisting applications. Based on the expertise we have built up over more than 35 years, we have put together a complete range of high-quality blocks and sheaves for steel wire ropes. Do you have any questions or would you like advice on the right blocks and sheaves for your application? Feel free to contact our hoisting specialists!
Van Gool offers various types of blocks and sheaves for hoisting applications, including snatch blocks, directional blocks, crane blocks, overhaul balls, tensioning screws and sockets. Sheaves and blocks are made to guide steel wire ropes when hoisting. Blocks usually consist of one or more sheaves, a shaft and block cheeks. We supply blocks with one, two or three sheaves. Our range includes wire rope blocks for hoisting load, blocks to attach to a fixed point and blocks to guide steel wire rope. Lifting blocks, also known as pulleys or crane blocks, are also used during hoisting to change the hoisting direction or lighten the load. Snatch blocks and directional blocks only serve to guide the wire rope and are therefore not made for hoisting.
Safety must be a matter of course when lifting equipment, and with Van Gool it certainly is. That's why all our blocks and sheaves are made of high-grade steel, and they always come with a safety certificate. We also work according to the strictest standards and rules. For example, we have the NEN-EN-ISO 9001, VCA* and EKH certifications and we are an affiliated member of the Metaalunie. In order to guarantee the safety of your equipment, we can also take care of the periodic inspection and certification of your hoisting blocks and pulleys. In our own workshop as well as on location, we can inspect not only below-the-hook equipment, but also above-the-hook equipment.
