Types of round slings
Round slings are good hoisting aids for heavy loads. There are different types of round slings that are made of different types of plastic. According to the European colour coding, the colour of the label of round slings indicates the exact material used to make the round slings. The material in turn depends on the load-bearing capacity. For example, a purple labelled round sling can carry 1 tonne, a green labelled round sling, 2 tonnes and a red labelled round sling, 5 tonnes. Not sure whether round slings are the most suitable for your project? The difference between a round sling and a hoisting strap is that a round sling is continuous, and a strap is not. Round slings are often used for bundling materials, such as wooden beams. If in doubt about the best product for your job, ask our expert staff for advice.
